Who we share it with
We never sell your information. We use a small number of trusted services to run ScrubSites, and they only process your information on our behalf:
- Cloudflare hosts this website and our customers' websites, and provides cookie-free visitor statistics.
- Web3Forms delivers the answers from our demo form to our inbox.
- Google Workspace provides our email and file storage.
- Tally may be used to collect your full website brief and files.
- Stripe processes payments and manages subscriptions.
- GitHub stores the code for customers' websites, which includes the business details shown on the site.
We may also share information if we're required to by law, or with professional advisers such as an accountant.
Information leaving the UK
Some of the services above are based in, or store data in, the United States or the European Economic Area. Where this happens, the transfer is protected either by UK adequacy regulations (including the UK-US data bridge) or by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, as required by UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
- If you ask for a demo but don't go ahead, we delete your demo site within 60 days of sending it to you and delete your details within 12 months, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- If you become a customer, we keep your information for as long as you're with us, then for 6 years after you leave, because the law requires us to keep accounting records.
- Emails are kept for as long as they're useful for supporting you, and no longer than 6 years after you stop being a customer.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct anything that's wrong
- ask us to delete your information
- ask us to restrict or stop using your information
- object to us using your information based on legitimate interests
- ask for your information in a format you can take elsewhere
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on it
To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We'll reply within one month. There's no charge.
Enquiries made through our customers' websites
When someone fills in a quote form on a website we've built for a cleaning business, that cleaning business is responsible for the information. We only handle it on their behalf so the enquiry reaches them. If you've made an enquiry that way, please contact the cleaning business directly, and see the privacy notice on their website.
Keeping it safe
We use secure, well-known services, two-step sign-in on our accounts and encrypted connections (HTTPS) on every website we run. Only the people who need your information to build or support your website can see it.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if anything changes and change the date at the top. If a change affects how we use information we already hold about you, we'll tell you by email.
